USTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT: Era Sustainable Tourism Destinations

Tourism sector is a sector that has resistance to the crisis, surely the existence of this sector may be new hope for economic growth. To that end, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to develop and optimize the potential of the tourism sector, one way to develop a sustainable tourism so that the existence of this sector can continuously.
One of the sustainable tourism development efforts carried out in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, conducted in collaboration with the Gesellschaft Fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit ( GIZ ), the German state institutions acting in the social field.
Kemenparekraf cooperation undertaken by Germany in the development of tourism is not the first time, the way the Indonesian-German cooperation had done the same, ie, in terms of post- disaster revitalization in Pangandaran in the year 2006. The project, scheduled to end on May 5.

One reason Lombok tourism development , said Firman , is due to the increase in tourism in Lombok is quite large. The plan, the sustainable tourism development will involve local stakeholders , thus the development of the tourism sector is expected to touch the strategic points of the tourism sector so that development takes place optimally.
Later, the scope of this cooperation include the development of West Nusa Tenggara, particularly sustainable tourism and green and Low Carbon Destination in Lombok West Nusa Tenggara . In addition , cooperation with other GIZ project is the development of studies and strategic documents concerning certain aspects of the development of sustainable tourism and green that are relevant for Indonesia and the dissemination of good practices and lessons learned from other countries and work together at the national and regional levels . Sustainable tourism development is intended to be able to maintain the attractiveness of attraction in a long period of time .
Meanwhile Frank Bertelmann, Principal Advisor RED as executor in the field explaining it was giving technical guidance on the tourism industry and the local community .
