Kemenparekraf Cooperation With Microsoft to Protect Intellectual Property Rights

Microsoft Indonesia today officially launch the fabric of cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) Republic of Indonesia. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) conducted by ukus Kuswara in his capacity as Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia and Andrew Diantoro in his capacity as the President Director of Microsoft Indonesia . The signing of this MoU witnessed by Mari Elka Pangestu, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia and Cesar Cernuda, president of Microsoft Asia Pacific.

"This MoU strategic , provide opportunities to increase the ability of Indonesian human resources ( HR ) tourism and creative economy in the face of the challenges of the digital age that increasingly dominate the world. We 've got a lot of Creative People ( OK ) fierce , and they have to excel in the face of competition in the digital age,” said Minister Mari E. Pangestu Parekraf, after witnessing the signing of the MoU .
According to the Minister, the foundations of the competitiveness of the tourism sector and creative economy have in common is the quality of human resources, which is based on Creative People. Both are mutually supportive, creative achievements in economic development will increase the attractiveness of tourism, and reverse the growth of tourism will open a larger market for creative economic activity . "It was like two sides of a coin , can not be separated ," said the Minister.
Furthermore , the Minister said , that from the standpoint of national competitiveness , Indonesia has made great strides in recent years thanks to the extensive infrastructure development . " However , we believe that technology , innovation , and creative industry is the catalyst that will propel Indonesia to be developed countries. This partnership represents a major step forward to make it happen and I appreciate Microsoft's continued investment in developing the creative industry in Indonesia , " said Mari .
Through kerjasamaini , Kemenparekraf will support Microsoft programs on copyright protection for creative industry - particularly for sub- industry is concerned with the development of the Software and Science and Technology ( Science and Technology) . " Copyright protection is important to the public foster creativity . Violation of intellectual property rights will kill creativity and ultimately will harm society as a whole , because we would lose the creative process and product . And in the end we will be more dependent on the outside world , and the loss of independence , "said the Minister .
Kemenparekraf will support Microsoft programs that promote an industry and creative development of young generation of Indonesia, among other programs spark Youth and Citizenship . Kemenparekraf together with Microsoft will discuss the proper guidelines in order worthy of copyright protection in the digital creativity that can be protected .
Kemenparekraf will also involve Microsoft in digital literacy education programs for businesses in the creative industries and the economy together to encourage the growth of educational institutions are able to encourage creativity and innovation of Indonesia
"We are aware of the capabilities and resources of each party , and we agreed to synergize the activities of both programs are interlinked in an activity together in order to maximize the improvement of the quality and capacity of tourism industry and the Creative Economy , " said Mari .
Cesar Cernuda , president of Microsoft Asia Pacific , in his visit to Indonesia , emphasized Microsoft's commitment to raise awareness and appreciation of the protection of intellectual property rights ( IPR ) as the backbone of economic growth in the creative industries .
"Microsoft is basing its efforts on the creation of new and innovative technologies and commercializing them useful in the form of the features , products , and services that improve productivity and deliver value to its customers . Microsoft invests more than U.S. $ 9 billion per year in Research & Development to advance these efforts , and one of the largest holders of intellectual property in the world , with more than 11,200 patents in the U.S. patent danlebihdari 4,600 in other countries . Through this partnership , Microsoft will support the programs of the Ministry of copyright protection for creative industries - particularly for sub- industry is concerned with the development of the Software and danTeknologi Science ( Science and Technology ) . Microsoft will provide direction and input in developing the framework / Guiding Principles for copyright protection for creative industry economy .
Microsoft will also support the Ministry to promote the program copyright protection and anti- counterfeiting in terms of consumer protection as well as providing training courses for supervisors ' Creative Centers ' ministry with programs and curriculum Digital Literacy Microsoft .
"Since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with United in Diversity ( UID ) Forum to jointly develop a Technology and Innovation Center called UID Creative Campus in October 2013 , Microsoft continued its commitment in developing innovations in Indonesia .
